Hi All,

Congratulations! Your swimmer has worked hard all season and has earned a spot in the Meet of Champions (MOC).
This is quite an honor so please congratulate your swimmer! This is an exciting
time for them.

Meet of Champions is the Division
3 Championship Swim Meet for WHALe League and the top 8 swimmers of MOC will
advance to All Stars.

Please read this entire email
carefully. It has everything you need to
know.

Here is all the Meet of Champions
information you will need to know.

***Please account for TRAFFIC on 99, Westpark Tollway and 1464. It will be better to be early than late! Many of you are showing up for the meet right before it starts. This
is hard on the tent parents as well as the coaches. Your Swimmer must be on
time or they will be scratched out and will not be able to swim.

SWIMMER ARIVAL:

Swimmers MUST arrive on time. If they do not they may not be able to compete. If your child is slated to swim the Free Relay which is the first event being late could jeopardize your Relay group’s ability to swim.

SWIMMER WARM-UP:

VOLUNTEERING IS REQUIRED:

Sign up for a volunteer job at Meet of Champions - this does NOT count toward your required 5 shifts. Everyone who attends MOC is expected to volunteer to help us run the meet as it is considered a "post-season" event. MOC requires everyone to help. I have divided some volunteer jobs up into shifts some I could not due to the fact
that we only have 83 swimmers and we need 56 positions covered. EVERYONE needs to volunteer.

We need all the same positions needed to make a Home or Away Swim Meet Run smoothly.

Swim Season 2023 Stroke/Touch/Turn Judges Will Need to sign up for Stroke/Touch/Turn Judging positions.

IMPORTANT:

Our swim team will be overseeing setting up the chairs for the timers,
taping timer lane assignments to the back of the chairs, holding the meeting
with the timers, and making sure that all timers have arrived. If necessary,
find the team that happens to be missing and get it all straightened out.
Throughout the swim meet you will make sure the system is working well.

PARKING:

I have below the information
regarding the parking and parking lot setup.

POOL
INFORMATION:

This is an
eight-lane indoor pool. Visitors may sit along the side of the pool designated for Division 3 and in
the parking lot in the designated roped of area with their swim team (NTST).

There will be two MOC's happening at the same time. Our Division which is division 3 and Division 6. Please follow the instructions and signs pertaining to Division 3.

SPECTATOR RULES:

Swimmers and parents will be able
to congregate outside the swimming facility. No parents will be allowed on
deck. Spectators may come inside to watch their swimmers through the entrance/
concession doors. Please be mindful and allow other families to see their
swimmer and not "camp out." Please no standing at front of stands so
others can see. Signs will be posted. Once your swimmer has finished their
event you must exit the building.

SWIMMER CARDS:

IMPORTANT - To see your swimmer, you must have a swimmer card. I will
have a swimmer Card per family printed on card stock.

ALL STARS
DECLARATION:

Please declare
your swimmer's availability for All-Stars. Declare for All-Stars no later than Sunday,
June 25th at 4pm so that we can have scratches ready to go. All-stars is based
on qualifying times from the Meet of Champions so not everyone will be eligible
but it’s helpful to know up front who will be available to attend if they
qualify or are "called up" right away. This helps us identify
scratches AT the Meet of Champions so that we can turn in All-Star entries
right away. (You may not qualify for All-Stars unless you declare your swimmer
- we will assume you cannot make it and call up the next fastest swimmer.)

SHEETS:

Parents can obtain
free copies to print from whale.SwimTopia.com once they are published this
evening. Click on the Events tab then click on Division 3.

We will provide
Heat Sheets for Age Group Marshals.
