I swam in High School in Corpus
Christi. I was District champion in the 200
Individual Medley and 100 breaststroke all 3
years in high school. In college, I swam
for the University of Hawaii Wahine Rainbow Swim
Team. I started coaching swimming for a
summer league team in Corpus Christi. I,
then, began coaching the Ray High School swim
team in the early 90’s. We placed 2nd
at Regionals in ’96. I had the honor
to be recognized as District Coach of the Year, 3
different times and also was recognized as
Regional Coach of the Year, 1 time. My
family moved from Corpus Christi to Sugar Land in
2001. I started coaching for George Bush
High School swim team till 2006. I also had the
privilege of coaching Providence Hurricanes
summer swim team 2001-2007. I am
currently the swim coach at Travis High
School.

Laura
Hahn
|
Hello, my name is Laura
Hahn and this is my first year coaching with the New Territory
Torpedoes swim team. I am finishing my junior year at
St. Louis University in St. Louis, MO where I am studying
biology and Spanish and looking forward to medical school in a
few years. I am a NCAA diver and swimmer for division 1
St. Louis University. In high school I helped the St.
Agnes Tigers win back-to-back swimming and diving state
championships in 2004 and 2005 ... swam a leg on the 200-free
relay that broke the state record in 2006 ... selected Most
Improved Swimmer in 2006 ... named MVP of the diving team in
2005 ... and was a five-sport athlete in high school. In
addition, I swam summer league with the New Territory Tarpons
for 14 years and was associate coach for Tarpons in 2007.
I thoroughly enjoy working with kids of all ages, and I
especially look forward to coaching for the Torpedoes this
season.

My name is James Bernard and this will be my
first year coaching for the New Territory Torpedoes Swim Team.
I have been a member of this swim team for ten years now and
have enjoyed every one of them. Last year I was a volunteer
coach and decided to become a full time coach to help even
more the swimmers on the team. I am currently attending

High School
as a sophomore. At school I am an honors student and a member
of the soccer and football teams. I enjoy facing challenges
head on and look forward to the pleasant challenges associated
with being a coach on the New Territory Swim Team. |

This is my first year coaching for the New
Territory Torpedoes. This will be my tenth year with the team.
I have been to Finals almost every year and have been to All
stars many times as part of relay teams. I am very excited to
be coaching after having a good time volunteering and helping
kids throughout the season. I am currently attending William
